Evening primrose oil – effects

Evening primrose oil has many properties. Most of them are due to the polyunsaturated fatty acids OMEGA- 6 or DHA contained in the composition. Therefore, it is used to support the appearance of skin, hair and nails. It is also recognized as a remedy for premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Many women use it for problems with dry skin or vaginal dryness. There are no conclusive scientific studies on which to base the properties of evening primrose oil, but it has been known for years among natural food ingredients and has many supporters.

Evening primrose oil – can you take it during pregnancy?

The issue of nutritional supplementation during pregnancy remains controversial. However, in most cases, experts agree that the use of home methods in reasonable quantities is not harmful in uncomplicated pregnancies. Many expectant mothers use evening primrose oil to improve skin hydration. Some couples use evening primrose oil to increase their chances of getting pregnant.
